Part 2 bootcamp the thing that changed the rest of my experience.

So after hours of waiting I hear this guy walking around asking if you had ever done band choir or drill....I don't know what this is about and I wanna find out but he isn't asking me....I am a very shy person...but I walked up to him and said "hey I can sing" and he says "oh you can, are you sure?" I said "yes I was in an audition group and high school" and then he marked the letters TT on  my hand and sent me on my way next we would get our sea bags and fill them with all the items we would need the rest of bootcamp tried on clothes and got put in our smurfs....blue sweat suit used for PT...and then we would continue to the classroom but because I had TT marked on my hand I would not go with everyone else... I didn't know it then the letters TT marked on my hand changed my life forever. Sit here study look at your book what are you looking up for what's wrong with you guy what are you looking at clown are just some of the beginning word I had heard being in this classroom. Finally someone had came in and took us to our compartment at the time tons of girls had already been there a two days before me. Soon we would learn the TT stood for Triple Threat which stood for Band Choir and Drill which just meant we would have that much more to do than everyone else we were a 900 division 906 every saturday we would go to practice our music for graduation or our drills it was such a break sometimes. I remember just like it was yesterday 906 came together as a team and forever we will be a team. We grew together and helped each other thru some of the toughest times of our lives. I would be able to tell you more, everything you want to know about bootcamp well almost everything but I would rather you experience it for yourselves. It was by far the best experience in my life I turned 19 in bootcamp and even though it was away from my family back home I had met a whole new family and passed my prone float that day along with Q and a lot of others I was so proud of us that day and it was one of the best birthdays I have ever had because I had overcame something I thought was impossible. 906 still talks to this day we still share our memories and laughs and new experiences hopefully your division is just as close as us.

Part 1 The start of it all.

So story of bootcamp and since I have gotten here. The day before I left for bootcamp I think I was so nervous I kept making myself sick... ate my favorite olive garden for lunch that day......however it didn't stay down. The actual day I left was a tear filled day between my family and I....and my boyfriend. So I also went on my first plane ever that day it made me so nervous.....but I did it not bad actually really fun.....but if you have never rode in a plane before I suggest you chew gum.....stops your ears from popping so bad.....I got to chicago O'Hare airport very big and cool.....we ate McDonalds while we waited to meet up with a group to go to bootcamp......I at that point was still nervous sick so I ate half of a small fries not good because I had a long night ahead of me.....I arrived with the group after that and it was down to serious business right then still the airport handing in our important documents along with our social I had said Oh vs. Zero as one of the numbers I was instantly being yelled at I found it kinda funny that they made such a big deal out of the way I spoke but everything has a purpose if I had been calling someone trying to tell them important information they could assume that I had said a letter I didn't learn that till around the time we got to marlinespike but when I got yelled at I never made the mistake of doing it again. So after handing in our info we all had to get into a circle dump out any food shampoo cigarettes among other things into the trash. Then we were lined up in a military formation for the first time ever and in a single file line we got marched out to the bus that would take us to Great Lakes RTC (Recruit Training Command) we all arrived tired from all the travel and the bus ride we got filed in the processing building where we had to be careful where we stepped so we didn't step on a flag made of tile on the floor and had to keep to the right side of the hallway where they then proceeded to have us call our families and let them know we are alright.....my mom and I were both a little shocked that I had gotten that. After the phone call of 2 mins we got filed into a classroom where our processing began...after getting fitted for shoes and told my body weight of 108 and height as 64 inches they had us do a pee test where privacy from that point fwd flew out the window. I didnt think I could use the bathrrom at the time so they had us drink water and walk around the room until we could and when I thought I could I waited they handed me the cup and I couldn't go I had to I just couldnt where again I got yelled at. They made me smash the cup with my foot then it flew across the room where they continued to yell and call me an idiot and I had to keep walking in circles and drinking water for three straight hours until it was so unbearable I had no choice but to use the restroom. Then something happened that changed my whole experience in bootcamp......to be continued in Part 2.

The Joy of Being Sick....Not!

Well it has been a long while since I have updated my blog.....Since my last update not much has happened My boyfriend, His little brother, and Dad took me to my first KU football game....and even though we lost by one point.....I think I fell in love :D. Shortly after...on Sunday I started to catch a cold....but what I didn't realize that what I had caught was an Upper respirtory infection.....Let me tell you how much it sucks between the sore throat....cough and the barely wanting to stay awake....and not being able to breath....mmmm fun stuff. Something I hope I never have to catch again...My Dr. put me on 3 medications...and yelled a little that I didnt come in sooner because I could have gotten namonia....which is way worse and that if im not better when my medicine runs out not to wait and to go straight back in he seemed pretty concerned so I will be sure to do as I am told to get better. Right now he has me taking a anti-biodic for the virus infection....and a steriod because I have swollen tubes in my lungs...and on a narcotic coughing medicine to help quiet the cough and help me sleep....a total of 6 pills a day. Soon to come with Navy stuff.....I have a DEP meeting by Kansas City on thursday.....only if I am feeling better but its an all girls meeting so it shall be interesting......my recruiter also wanted me to join in a 5k run the 29th of this month I believe was the day but if I am not feeling better haha I will not be running in that race. My hope is to get better soon...and Hopefully I will get to keep my same leave date.
However other than being currently sick....All is well. :) Can't wait to get to chicago on Oct.30th :D yay!

August 13, 2012

So this past week Chris and I hung out once because he has been in Texas all week. So I have been doing a lot of talking with my best friend since middle school we hadn't talked in forever but it just so happened that not only were dating guys that looked similar but we were both away from them the same week for the same amount of days..... Kinda good for the both of us to be able to talk....She moved into her dorm at KState Sunday. Which her dorm looks amazing :D totally jealous. haha So school for everyone else starts up again thursday an sometime this week or next so I took Maggie and Libbie to get there locker combonations and since I had been cleaning my room for it to be like I was moving out I found some old books from school that I brought back....It was sad knowing I wouldn't be going back this year....but also this great feeling of accomplishment :). I am ready now to go to basic ready to face my future :D. I find out today hopefully if my roommate will be able to join and sign with the Navy :) I wish the best for her....She deserves it :) she is super smart and would be a great help to the U.S. Navy. I got to txt her for a little bit yesterday :) I think she is doing great but nervous about passing her Dr.'s Physical.
Anywho while Chris was away we talked everyday :) which helped with him being away. He is such a great guy. haha while he was on his way back he had said that his cousin got mad at the lady at McDonald because the lady in front of him got breakfast and he didn't. Elijah overheard me telling Brittany how funny I thought it was and It not only reminded me but also reminded Eli of the movie 'Big Daddy' and now thats all he wants to watch since Friday.....I swear he have seen it 18 times this week lol I love the little guy but I don't want to know every line to 'Big Daddy'.

So I drove to the mall for the first time ever by myself for my Dep Meeting Managed to find my way there after calling Chris and asking for directions....Then on my way home I ended up getting lost for an hour because I took a few wrong exits..... Then ended up on Kansas Ave. how Idk but wasnt my way home but I finally found it :) thankfully. Then afterwards Saturday my mom wanted me to take the kids to the pool in Topeka....So I did then again went the wrong way....but now I know my way and this time I wasnt lost for a whole hour.

Time for me to be practicing the 11 general orders and working out :D
