My weekend :)) / Monday July 30, 2012

So my weekend was pretty hectic we moved my parents room down stairs to the playroom and moved Eli and the play room to my old parents bedroom and moved all the junk we need to take to the junkyard in the trailer. I had fun though. Chris was there to help me move dressers around and TV’s out to the trailer and what not. Glad I still got to see him this weekend. So we didn’t finish Eli’s room Saturday like we had hoped to but that didn’t stop me I got it done late Sunday night.

So Eli’s room turned pretty cute wish I had it….but I’m moving soon and will be able to decorate my own room how I want soon enough..

So this unknown dog just shows up in my yard over the weekend a girl dog a sweet dog as long as my little dog isn’t out side but she is part pit bull and she kind of scares me My mom said if no one claims her we should call the sheriff because we shouldn’t be afraid to let my dog to pee in our own yard. Hope someone claims her as there dog but she isn’t wearing a collar maybe she got dumped….which makes me sad.

Anyway Saturday when I brought Chris home we went to Wal-mart and Dollar Tree to get trash bags to finish the rooms my mom a thing so she can hang her clothes in her closet my sisters hair dye and my dad some reading glasses and For 5 dollars I got some amazing fingernail polish and nail files so I did my Nails oober cute LUV THEM! I got for finger nail polishes and 4 nail files. Black, silver sparkles, white, and clear.

Now its Monday I checked in with my recruiter and Just got done babysitting miss Olivia P. my little Cousin who I love she is super awesome we had fun

MEPS (July 27, 2012)

       So I got to my hotel room around 3pm where I met my roommate before we got assigned rooms her name is Alexandria :) she is totally awesome. We had such a great time together. I realized how much I loved being stuck in a situation where I didn't know anyone, you get forced to make new friends.  When we got to our room we of course where snooping around also trying to find our coffee cups and we could find any but we did find this egg in our drawer. Tehe.

Our Room was so pretty.

We got our room keys with our meal ticket he informed us that our meal ticket would not go in the vending machines and not to even try it appearently someone had already tried. The hotel had a restraunt where everyone ate at and it was really good its called the Boluvard Grill super delicious. These two marine boys got sat next to me and Andria they were really funny and one was really cute. haha.

Our room over looked the Pool it was awesome...the part of the building you can see by the pool is the area where we ate.

The name of the hotel we stayed at was the four points hotel.

We finally went down and got coffee cups.

Andria and I went down for a snack was a half hour early we decided to play a game of cards it was called war.....I won. :) the whole time we were playing  I kept getting the your cute Eye from this guy across the room and I was kinda thinking to myself oh god leave me alone. Ya he came right up to me to give me his number he had a different name....his name he had written on the paper was Zashius, weird.

We had to get up early in the morning to get ready. We woke up at 3:30 not much sleep. When we went down to check out we had all of our stuff had to stand in a line and we got yelled at to hurry hurry hurry and when we ate breakfast...in the hotel we had eggs potatos and bacon and sausage really yummy and our of 55 of us he had us through what he calls the chow line in under 4 minutes.

So by the time I got through most of MEPS haha at 9:45 felt like 5 O'Clock at night lets just say I was extremely tired. But around 10:30 My medical Dr. informed me I had passed my MEPS examination and I was to report to my liason to pick a job. I picked my job which is ABH which stands for Airman boatswain I will be directing the Planes where to land on the boat which is gonna be awesome I also found out my A school is in Pensicola, Florida and I will be there for 6 weeks and My ship date for basic is 10/30/12.... then my liason told me to go to phase one where I went to get finger printed then I came back for Phase two where I signed my contract. Then went to eat lunch and had to wait till one PM to get sworn in. My mom didn't have enough time to make it to Kansas City but my cousin / God Mother was already in KC so I asked her to come watch and take pictures and videos. I will upload the video when I can get it on to my computer.

After swearing in I got my picture taken and signed some more contracts. Then they handed me my signed contract job description and my DEP (Delayed Entry Program) card.

Navy update :) it's time :). July 21 & 22, 2012

I went in to take another asvab test trying to score higher than my 44 haha Joke was on me different test different questions and I got the same score. Yes this doesn't make since to me....I studied harder this time but that obviously didn't change anything this time. 44 is a passing score for the Navy how ever its considered a lower score and they want higher scores. Well I talked to my recruiter mad thinking it was something wrong with the test but I wasn't able to calculate the right test score because it is partly based on how everyone else does on the test. I thought maybe a computer error but my recruiter assured me it wasn't but that he would try to get me in by signing two people with upper scores. Well I left still upset thinking I most likely wont join anytime soon sooo I was gonna apply for a job to have something to do till there was more of a chance of me joining and as I sent the text to my mom telling her what happened I realized I had a voicemail from my recruiter telling me to have my bags packed and be at his office Sunday afternoon his boss pulled some strings for me and that I would be getting my Physical Monday morning :P.

My week last week
So last week was pretty entertaining. Tuesday Megan Yarger my cousin came over we gave Dodger a hair cut....haha lets face it lol not a good hair cut.... She also wanted me to go to dinner so I did we went to On the Border where our waitress was fired before we got to order our drinks...haha what fun. Also had her spend the night two nights in a row so she could drive me to Topeka Friday afternoon. We had a lot of fun while she was here we went to the lake with Chris and her and I also hung out at the mall trying on clothes before I had to leave she took a practice test and talked to the Navy recruiter but in the end I think she decided it wasn't right for her. Which is okay because I know that the military life isn't for everyone.

I will miss Chris a lot while I am gone. I still need to get all my stuff before I go, but mentally I am ready. I leave this afternoon for KC, all my bags are packed and ready. MEPS is monday morning. Waking up at 4am will be fun haha. While I am gone I'll be sure to take some pictures.

Honestly when I was a kid I never thought this is what I would want to be doing with my life. I didn't know really how I was gonna get to my dream; Now I know this is the best way to get there. It will offer me Travel that I have for so long wanted to do....just get out of Kansas....Which I love dearly but we all need a change in our life every now and then. It offers me college that I'd never be able to afford with out joining the Navy. I will learn new cultures and how to work together as a team.

Well by for now gonna go get dressed fix my hair and finish pack that bag :P.

So Monday my recruiter finally did text me to tell me that his boss couldn't get a lower score in this month so that I should study and try and retest. He gave me the week to study. I bought a book online to study with then found out that it won't be here for 7 days haha smh I guess it will come in handy later maybe haha. So yesterday I went and got a book from the library to study with. They both basically are the same book one from 2010 one from 2011... the tests in the book are different so thats good I have 6 practice tests instead of 3 and each test being around 3 hours long..... this is gonna be fun! He commented on one of my facebook status's today to inform me I will retest the 19th which is 8 days away....I guess I get two days with the book I bought which is better than none. So I told my cousin there would be no technology the rest of this week why I study then I realized....My house is typically noisey and hard to concentrate....Thank you Pandora for allowing me to blast you through my headphones while I study....and thank you facebook for being there on my study breaks.....Just so everyone knows....I probably wont be picking my phone up or answering to facebook chat for the next few days :) love you all HOPING I can impove my score by 6 points..... the book im studing from says high score guaranteed. I'm sure thats only if you really really study it.

 Even A Weekend At Home Can Be Fun

So Friday I was supposed to find out when or if I would be able to get my military physical and as some or most of you know it's one of the last steps before I sign. Well while I was talking to my recruiter Friday evening he said we probably won't know anything till Monday late evening..... This is okay because he is trying to sign me and this girl the same time...this would be a good thing because then I would know someone before leaving for boot camp and chances are we would go together. Hopefully Monday he gets us both scheduled for a physical. Busy Hopin and Prayin that he can get us signed before August. So this weekend didn't really go out and do much decided to stay home we cleaned out our swimming pool.....that turns brown every time we treat it.....We must be doing something wrong. Anyway my best friend as some of you know is planning to get married. I am hoping I can be around here for her and be able to see her get married I know she will be a wonderful beautiful Bride :)) well even if I am not here I will help her as much as I can before I have to leave....I am going over to her house tomorrow evening while I wait for my phone call and to show her a Bride Magazine I bought her today...haha though I am sure she has looked at it I did buy it from her work while she wasn't there. Well I hope it rains tonight because we need it so bad. Rain is my favorite type of weather :)). It would be cool to live in Seattle :)....My grandpa said when a dog sleeps on his back it is supposed to mean rain....and Dodger my little Pomeranian has been sleeping on his back a lot lately so maybe it means rain..... I think its funny how I like to sleep on my stomach but my dog likes to sleep on his back. Wish someone would get a picture of it sometime haha. I did get a picture of Dodger though :).

He looks like he is playing dead :)) haha He is too cute.

 

Um the best pop ever!.....Okay maybe not...But pretty good.

I'm sure mom and dad enjoyed the weekend with Eli giving everyone foot massages with cupcake and black cherry lotion :) that boy cracks me up. Gonna miss him.....I love him....Even if he dumps cat food on the floor I just swept. :))

So I think I am going to leave everyone with a song tonight Cher Lloyd who I am starting to really like the more I hear her songs.
