Part 1 The start of it all.
So story of bootcamp and since I have gotten here. The day before I left for bootcamp I think I was so nervous I kept making myself sick... ate my favorite olive garden for lunch that day......however it didn't stay down. The actual day I left was a tear filled day between my family and I....and my boyfriend. So I also went on my first plane ever that day it made me so nervous.....but I did it not bad actually really fun.....but if you have never rode in a plane before I suggest you chew gum.....stops your ears from popping so bad.....I got to chicago O'Hare airport very big and cool.....we ate McDonalds while we waited to meet up with a group to go to bootcamp......I at that point was still nervous sick so I ate half of a small fries not good because I had a long night ahead of me.....I arrived with the group after that and it was down to serious business right then still the airport handing in our important documents along with our social I had said Oh vs. Zero as one of the numbers I was instantly being yelled at I found it kinda funny that they made such a big deal out of the way I spoke but everything has a purpose if I had been calling someone trying to tell them important information they could assume that I had said a letter I didn't learn that till around the time we got to marlinespike but when I got yelled at I never made the mistake of doing it again. So after handing in our info we all had to get into a circle dump out any food shampoo cigarettes among other things into the trash. Then we were lined up in a military formation for the first time ever and in a single file line we got marched out to the bus that would take us to Great Lakes RTC (Recruit Training Command) we all arrived tired from all the travel and the bus ride we got filed in the processing building where we had to be careful where we stepped so we didn't step on a flag made of tile on the floor and had to keep to the right side of the hallway where they then proceeded to have us call our families and let them know we are alright.....my mom and I were both a little shocked that I had gotten that. After the phone call of 2 mins we got filed into a classroom where our processing began...after getting fitted for shoes and told my body weight of 108 and height as 64 inches they had us do a pee test where privacy from that point fwd flew out the window. I didnt think I could use the bathrrom at the time so they had us drink water and walk around the room until we could and when I thought I could I waited they handed me the cup and I couldn't go I had to I just couldnt where again I got yelled at. They made me smash the cup with my foot then it flew across the room where they continued to yell and call me an idiot and I had to keep walking in circles and drinking water for three straight hours until it was so unbearable I had no choice but to use the restroom. Then something happened that changed my whole experience in bootcamp......to be continued in Part 2.
